Get snapping to win big cash prizesPosted: Fri 20 March 2009 Dust off your winter blues, get out into the countryside and start snapping for big prizes. The Leicestershire County Show invites anyone with a camera to compete in their brand new photography competition. The Society wants to raise awareness of local countryside and the issues that surround it. Although you may not be walking around with your eyes closed, do you know what texture a cows tongue is? Or perhaps know of a local area that attracts butterflies or a glade where wildflowers grow? We want you to get out there and explore your countryside with fresh eyes. Often the best way of doing this, is to study it through a camera lens. There are some exciting cash prizes up to £150 for one winner and plenty of marketing support of any budding professionals. In addition to this there is a special photography club award for the club represented by the highest amount of accumulative points gained by its members. This award is also backed by marketing support separate to that of the competition winners. If that isn’t enough to get you clicking away, how about discounted entry to the show? The sum of your entry fee can be deducted from the price of an entry ticket up to a maximum of £5. So not only could you win £150 you also get a serious discount on tickets. Make it snappy though, as entries close on the 17th April 2009. For further details please visit www.leicestershireshow.co.uk or ring 01509 646786
