Plans are “apaw” at the Leicestershire County ShowPosted: Sun 8 March 2009
The Leicestershire Agricultural Society will be launching a new canine feature section at the annual county show (3rd -4th May 2009).
“Lets face it a county show without dogs, is like Old MacDonald without his cow. Its just not on!” said Liz Earle , Show Director. So she has introduced a new canine section to the show.
“We want our visitors to interact with the show, so we have arranged for a section where the visitor can bring their dog to the show and get involved by entering classes, or having a go at agility.
“We have a range of classes ” explains Liz. “The Kennel Club Scrufts qualifiers are expected to be the most popular, (which is Crufts for mongrels), however we know that the other classes will also go down well. We have had a lot of interest in our “have a go” agility which will run in the afternoons, both days”.
The section will also feature Terrier and Lurcher racing, Breed Stands and a varied range of canine companies. From fashion to food these stands will finish the area off nicely.
Now where’s Rex? Here boy!
