“Explorers are go” at the Leicestershire County Show

Posted: Sun 8 March 2009

The Leicestershire Agricultural Society are launching an Adventure Trail for intrepid explorers

at the annual county show (3rd -4th May 2009).

To you and me it’s an education trail. A chance for your child to get close to animals,

countryside and really learn about life in all its glory.  For them however its an adventure

trail. A chance to milk a cow, grind flour and bake bread or discover fun with food in the

Farmers’ Market – and yes, here we do allow children to play with their food!  Perhaps they

just want to paint a picture in the country side marquee or have a go at weaving.

Our focus this year firmly puts the children back in touch with the countryside around them

and to maximise the fun and enjoyment they can have. On entering the show the children

will be given their xplorers map of the trail, questions to answer as they move around the

feature areas, opportunities to enter competitions and win prises, there’s even things for them

to do at home.  And the best bit? its all FREE, including their tickets.

(See website for terms and conditions).
