LivestockThe Leicestershire County Show is one of the very few shows which remain purley agricultural. As such the Livestock section of the show has become one of the most important features for competitors, traders and visitors alike. Combining a comprehensive trade show with an exhibition of top quality livestock, the Show continues to provide anyone interested or connected to this world with a complete "one stop shop" event at which to meet feed and equipment suppliers, plus showcases an extensive display of Agricultural Machinery and Equipment. Many of the farmers and businesses also hail the event as an excellent and profitable networking opportunity.
Cattle: The Cattle are at the heart of the Show with an average of 500 entries covering a wide range of breeds, plus classes for calves and Young Handlers to encourage the exhibitors for the future. The Cattle parade and House Wife’s Choice remain as popular as ever, so head down to the main ring to find out more. Sheep: Goats and Pymgys: Alpacas: Donkeys: NEW for 2009. Come and see these lovely, warm, slightly comical animals. For a long time the donkey was seen as the poor relation to the horse but now that is far from the case and they take their place alongside the cream of the animal world. With a variety of classes, including driving, come and see these talented donkeys in action. Pigeon and Poultry: Please note this information relates to the 2009 show and will be updated for 2010. For any queries in the meantime, please get in touch.
