Welcome to
Leicestershire Agricultural Society's
Children's Farm

Great Family Fun
It wouldn't be an Agricultural Show without offering children the chance to handle, stroke, feed and even muck out the animals. With a huge array of animals that ranged for snakes to horses to birds, this area is a great opportunity to enjoy an learn more about animals and creatures that you otherwise wouldn't get to meet so up close and personal.
DONKEY SANCTUARY
We are delighted that the EST Donkey Sanctuary will be attending. Not only does this Charity rescue and re-home, unwanted, sick or old donkey’s they also offer a fantastic opportunity for disabled children to experience the thrill of riding the donkeys (however, this is not available at the show see their website for further details on this). At the show you will have the chance to stroke, feed and pet the donkeys. In addition, you have the chance to meet the handlers and learn more about the animals and how they are cared for.

PETS CORNER
Perfect for those children (and adults) who love animals. From rabbits to guinea pigs to ferrets and even rats that you can hold, fuss and feed. You and your family can spend hours playing with our furry friends. If you were ever interested in owning a similar pet then our resident experts are on hand to offer practical advice on the "do’s" and "don’ts" of caring for animals.
The animals include some, or all of the following:
Mice, Rats, Rabbits, Guinea Pigs, Ferrets, Chickens, & Ducks The Pets Corner is open daily and the variety of animals vary from show to show.

The Farmer Has Come To Visit............In association with NANNA Animal Rescue
Calling all children (and adults). The farmer has come to the show to do some shopping, and he seems to have company!Cows, Sheep, Donkeys,
Shetland Ponies &
Goats, to name but a few.

The farmer always calls into our show but unfortunately he always brings half the farm with him. He often needs people to play with his animals while he is shopping which can be anything from feeding to stroking, and cuddling to brushing. The farmer is always grateful for all the help he can get. This is a unique opportunity to handle and learn about animals that you don’t find curled up in front of the fire at home. Please don’t forget to wash your hands afterwards.
