Canine Competitions

 

To be held in the Canine Corner Ring
   

Entry fee: £1.00 per class, per dog.

Entries can be made on the day at the cost of 50p extra per class, per dog.

 

 Closing date for pre show entries: April 17th 2009.

 

Rosettes will be awarded to 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th place in each class, except for class 8 and 16.

Special rosettes will be awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in each Scruffts class.

 

Sunday 3rd May 2009

Class 1: 10.15am    (S) Golden Oldie, aged 8 years +

Class 2: 10.30am    Scruffiest Dog or Bitch

Class 3: 10.45am   (S) Handsome Crossbreed Dog aged 6 months - 7 years

Class 4: 11.00am   Best Behaved Puppy

Class 5: 11.15am   (S) Child’s Best Friend, 6 months - 12 years handled by a young                              person between 6 and 16 years of age

Class 6: 11.30am   Stay and Call to Heel

Class 7: 11.15 am  (S) Prettiest Crossbreed Bitch aged 6 months - 7 years

Class 8: 3.00pm – 4.30pm      Dog agility “have a go” (under guidance of trainer) 

 

Monday 4th May 2009 

Class 9:   10.15am        (S) Golden Oldie, aged 8 years +

Demonstrations: (both days) 

9.00am       Basic Training and Behaviour Demo with Q and A

9.30am       Mountgrace Gundogs

12.00noon   Mountgrace Gundogs

2.00pm       Dog agility training demo

2.30pm       Dog agility demonstration

 

Rules:
  • The first placed dog in classes labelled (S) will qualify to go through to the Final that will be held at Discover Dogs, Earls Court 2, London .
  • In the event of 1st place winners not being able to attend the final then 2nd or 3rd place winners will be invited.
  • Each Finalist will be sent a Qualifiers’ Pack from the Kennel Club, nearer to the date of the Final.
  • All entrants in classes 5 and 13 will receive a rosette.
  • All fees payable from classes labelled (S) will be donated to the Kennel Club Charitable Trust to help make a difference for dogs.
